OLD TIME & COUNTRY MUSIC DUO – Featuring KAREN LYNNE & BARRY THOMPSON
This format is the perfect choice for the older audience that don’t want loud or intrusive music during their function, but may at some point want to join in with a singalong, or get up for a jazz walz or the like. Barry is a well known jazz & old time pianist. For this duo he competently uses an array of keyboard sounds and tempos in conjunction with sme midifile backing. Barry has a vast repertoire, playing not only a huge selection of those wonderful old songs from the 40’s to the 70’s but many more contemporary pop ballads as well. Barry also specialises in Big Band style tunes and can provide music for participatory ‘Old time Singalongs’ and even ‘Old time dancing’ if required.
Karen Lynne joins on 12-string guitar with sweet vocals and harmonies to Barry’s vocals. Her repertiore in this format is a lovely mix of many of those old country standards and favourites along with some familiar cabaret-style ballads from the likes of Streisand, Midler and Ronstadt.
